TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!!!!

The last thing I thought of before I went to bed last night was that Miduk was on a plane somewhere between Singapore and Tokyo.  The first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up is that Miduk is on an airplane somewhere between Tokyo and Dallas.  If you've never flown internationally, let me just tell you - it can be really hard on a person to fly for that long at a time, sitting in one place!  My husband and kids have been known to watch 5 or 6 movies on a flight like that.  I'm wondering if Miduk is watching a movie, even though he can't understand the language.  And hoping he has an aisle seat so he can get out easily to go to the restroom.  It sure is comforting to know that he is in good hands with the American Airlines flight attendants and crew!

I am nervous/excited for him and for all of us, too.  We all have an opportunity here to really make a difference in his life-not just the physical act of repairing his hip, but the opportunity to show him unconditional love and acceptance, just like we have received through Jesus Christ.  What an awesome opportunity!  :)  My hope is that he will feel and respond to not only our love for him, but also God's love for him and that he will take that back to his family and to his village.

Well the countdown is on and he will be landing in about 8 hours!  I've got a few last minute things to do and need to run to the grocery store!  Beef and rice is on the menu for dinner tonight!  :)
